Charles has created memorable images for his clients from around the world and throughout the State of Hawaii since 1985. He has owned and operated a successful photography studio in downtown Honolulu from 1985 to 1992. His reputation has since allowed him to work from a home based office and locations of his choosing. Charles love of art and photography at a very early age, his studying of Fine Arts and photography during his college years, and his training with a contemporary of Ansel Adams, a world renown landscape photographer, has provided the foundation for Charles lifes work. Charles has received local and national awards for his work, has been published in the Professional Photographers of America Loan Collection book, has held the designation of Certified Professional Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America, has been a member of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, a member of the Professional Photographers of Hawaii, and other professional organizations throughout the years. Charles has performed a variety of photography assignments over the years including calendars, postcards, photojournalism and editorial work for magazines, television and Hollywood motion-picture work, legal evidence, corporate event coverage, architectural samples, products, fashion and art models, public-relations work, just about everything, and of course, including weddings and portraits for clients wishing to capture the beauty of Hawaii. Charles has been a contributing writer to Hawaii bridal publications and has more published images than any other Hawaii wedding photographer including Hawaii Bride & Groom, Hawaii Brides Guide, Hawaii Bridal Expo Magazine, the Brides Guide, and even a video sold at Borders about local Hawaiian weddings. His wedding photography has also been published in nationally distributed, Modern Bride Magazine and you will find his references in more than a few Internet bridal guides.
