Certified Management, Inc. was established in 1973 to provide the highest quality community association services available in the State of Hawaii. We have a reputation for providing excellent customer service. Beginning with one condominium property, Certified Management, Inc. has flourished and become the largest association management firm in the State of Hawaii. The President of Certified is Jim McKellar (Roosevelt 58). In 2001, Certified acquired the Fidelity Management Company accounts. Then on November 19, 2002, Certified acquired the Chaney Brooks association management accounts. On June 3,2003 Certified welcomed Island Property Management on Maui to its portfolio. On July 1, 2005, Property Management Hawaiis community association accounts in Kona was acquired. In July of 2006, Certified acquired a resort business in Kihei, Maui, AA Oceanfront. The company now serves over 400 associations on four islands. In 1994, the Community Associations Institute (CAI) awarded the coveted Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) designation to Certified Management, Inc. The AAMC is only awarded to companies who support the high standard of ensuring at least 75% of its managers are certified by a national organization. According to CAI, upon induction, Certified Management, Inc., joins an elite group holding the only national recognition as an outstanding professional community association management company whose foundation is based on experience, professionalism, and continuing education. We insist our Account Executives receive formal education and training to ensure we provide our customers the best educated professionals that is possible. We have 15 Account Executives (including President McKellar) with the highest designation that CAI has to award, the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM)designation which requires a minimum of 5 years in the business and many hours of training and education. As of January of 2007, there were 1,551 PCAMs in the country and Certified Management, Inc has one percent (1%)of the countrys total and over 37% of Hawaiis total PCAMs. Currently, 38 of our 57 Account Executives have earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) and 23 Account Executives have the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation from CAI. Certified Management, Inc is also affiliated with the Hawaii Council of Associations of Apartment Owners (HCAAO), and the Friends of ARM (Accredited Residential Managers).
