The Honolulu Marathon has completed an exhaustive review of all finishers using finish line video provided by MyMarathonDVD. Approximately 2,400 finishers who were missed by the SAI Timing System on race day have been located. In addition to the missing and inaccurate finish times, there were innumerable other timing errors. This includes starting line times as well as split times along the course. We are now beginning to mail finisher certificates to all verifiable finishers. When possible the finisher certificate will reflect a “chip” time. If start line data for an individual is not available the certificate will reflect “gun” or “clock” time. Our focus was to visually identify as many finishers as possible. We believe we have now verified nearly every finisher. However, in a few situations we were not able see a bib or read a bib number clearly as a runner came across the finish line
