Dont know the exact date that this web page was started on, but it was sometime early in 1995. I was in college and was fooling around with the html language. I needed a project to get some going in html..... Thus the beginning of the Roosevelt High School alumni web site. At right is an image of the first web page. The site resided on the University of Hawaii College of Engineering server. At first I emailed all the alumnist that I knew and told them to spread the word about the web site. As time went on I added more information. Soon the web page was loaded with lots of information. I scanned in all the packet information that was on the schools portfolio. Information like attendance, behavior, etc. At this time the school itself did not have a web page. Some rhs students made a web page for the school a few years ago, and I took off all school information to focus on just alumni related material. A few years ago those students graduated and the schools web site has not been updated since. The second version was the one that has been in service the longest. In this version I used frames to make navigation easier throughout the site. I created a left menu bar with a small javascript for an image rollover. At left is the second version of the web site. I used the theme of Red & Gold. In May of 1997 I graduated from college and soon after lost my user account there. It was time for a move. I acquired an account on earthlink.net and moved over all my web pages. This is the current home of the RHS alumni site. Enter the new millenium. On November 8, 2000 I rolled out the new site which you are currently viewing. I will add more things as time goes along, but for now its just a simple site. In all of my pages I have tried to keep images small to keep loading time to a minimal. Well thats all I have for now. Please dont critique my writing for I hated english in high school. If you have any suggestions or want to rewrite this for me please do.
