Rainbow Healing Arts (Kathy and Liza) in eList Hawaii Directory
Kathy Edwards is a licensed massage therapist who incorporates Reiki, craniosacral therapy, lomi lomi and pure essential oils into her sessions. Liza Delin is a Reiki Master who offers treatments and classes in the Usui System of Natural Healing. Liza also practices lomi lomi and craniosacral therapy. About Liza: I began my healing path after experiencing a year and a half of constant illness, culminating in back surgery for a herniated disc in 1992. Tired of living with lingering pain, I accepted a free Reiki session at a conference in 1995, and it changed my life. I began going for Reiki treatments, and my back injury healed completely during the third session, much to my surprise and delight. I continued receiving regular Reiki treatments for six months before taking First Degree and Second Degree Reiki in 1996. The more I received Reiki, the more I saw positive changes in myself, my relationships and my spiritual practice. I moved to Hawaii in the Fall of 1996 to begin a Masters of Public Health program at the University of Hawaii. During an internship for school, I met Maureen O’Shaughnessy, and knew instantly that she would be the one to initiate me as a Reiki master in the Usui System of Natural Healing. Over a year later, I began my preparation as a Reiki master, and was initiated in February of 2000. I have used many other tools for my own healing, including craniosacral therapy, lomi lomi, and pure essential oils. Reiki is my greatest passion and joy, however, and will remain the center of my healing journey. About Kathy: I came to Hawaii in 1983, about the same time Madame Pele started spewing lava from Kilauea. Pele and I were both starting a new path of destruction and rebirth. Once here, I really looked at the path that I knew I must pursue. Some women taught me about the healing powers of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Others revealed to me the magic of astrology and goddess wisdom. I learned about the spirits of Hawaii and the respect for the aina (land). I went on and received my Bachelors of Fine Arts (Ceramics) at the Universtiy of Hawaii in 1988. When I took Reiki in 1997 my life began to change. On a personal level, I experienced deep emotional and spiritual healing, which affected all my relationships, especially the one with myself. On a professional level, I decided to attend massage school and was licensed in 1999. From there my healing journey really took off. I studied craniosacral therapy, the uses of therapeutic grade essential oils, and developed a warm stone massage session. I had always searched for my lomi lomi teacher, until my Kumu came to me, Auntie Keonoana Neilson. Becoming part of the Hawaiian healing culture finally allowed me to resonate with this beautiful island and the ancestors of the people who inhabit it. I feel that I have come full circle in my journey and that my spirit belongs in Hawaii.
