The mission of Native Winds is to promote and preserve Native American tradition, culture, music, arts and crafts. We also honor the indigenous values of Hawaii and many of our local crafters create pieces which incorporate the elements of both Native America and Native Hawaii. In addition to selling art, crafts, music, books, botanicals, flutes, drums and craft supplies, we host storytelling events, craft classes and serve as an informational clearing house for the Native American community in Hawaii. Working in conjunction with local non-profit organizations, we give presentations in schools. We also have a discount program for teachers, librarians and schools. Native Winds offers a wide selection of authentic American Indian-made and non-Indian made arts and crafts. We carry items in every price range. Our selection includes: Navajo, Zuni and Lakota silver jewelry, one-of-a-kind carved necklaces and broaches made with bone, shell, and stone; traditional and contemporary beadwork; breastplates; chokers; fans; quillwork; fetishes; flutes; drums; pottery; kachinas; arrows & quivers; shields; dreamcatchers; greeting cards, magnets, mugs; music; books; botanicals (sage, cedar, sweetgrass, bearberry, red willow bark, lavender, valerian, osha, bitter root, etc.); and hundreds of craft supplies.
