Over time we have evolved the Lodge into a facility that offers almost everything the Budget traveler could desire. You can bring your own tent and pitch it in our beautiful camping lawn area or you can luxuriate in our new Deluxe rooms with private ceramic tile bathrooms. Between these extremes are bunks in our dormitories or our private bedrooms with shared bathroom and kitchen for the more economy minded. We have three stations of high speed 24 hour Internet access, you can visit the town, supermarkets, or the mall by taking our free 8:00am shuttle or using our 3 a day bicycles or you can walk to our nearby coastline with daily Turtle watching and Whales in season. We are 300 yards from the only white sand beach on this side of the Island. Mauna Kea Summit Our expeditions are world famous and provide everything from the heat of close up Lava viewing to the chill and rarified air of 14,000ft (4200m) Mauna Kea Volcano for daytime or stargazing expeditions. We show you waterfalls and valleys of tropical splendor and we can arrange anything from flights over the Volcano to scuba diving to a great healing massage.
