Many of the 59 stories available for download on this Web Site were first published in Kauai, Hawaii’s The Garden Island newspaper in a series titled “History Makers of Kauai” that ran from September 2000 through May 2002. All of the stories were later published in History Makers of Kauai or History Makers of Kauai Volume Two, which are available for loan in the Hawaii State Public Library System. These stories are Copyright 2003, 2004, and 2006 by Hank Soboleski. (Kauai’s color is purple.)
