We were founded in 1954 by Robert Y. Shimada because he realized the need to help Maui businesses collect their unpaid receivables. Our founders vision of helping people and businesses in our community has been the driving philosophy of our organization for the past 5 decades. Credit Associates is the second oldest member of the Maui Chamber of Commerce holding membership since 1960. We are active members of ACA International - The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals since 1958 as well as the Hawaiian Collectors Association since 1958. Our agency follows the ACA Code of Ethics & Professional Responsibility and the ACA Code of Operations in all of its operations. We constantly follow ever changing local, state and federal laws that may affect our industry and ultimately our ability to service our customers. We provide continuous training to our employees to ensure they are kept up-to-date on new laws and new techniques to serve you better. As the oldest collection agency in Maui County, we pride ourselves on our long standing partnerships with both local, statewide and national companies.
